Using LiDAR to take the guesswork out of home improvement

Few home improvement projects can move forward without data about a home’s space — but that data can be difficult to gather and take action on. A new beta feature coming soon to the Lowe’s iOS app will put home data at your fingertips in an end-to-end room scanning, measurement and estimate experience.

In Q1 2022, Lowe’s customers with an iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max or iPad Pro will see a new feature inside the Lowe’s mobile app. On flooring product pages, you’ll be greeted by a Measure Your Space button. Tapping this will open up your phone’s camera, guide you to scan and create a floorplan, and get a pricing estimate.

This offering follows Lowe’s for Pros JobSIGHT™️ powered by Streem®, an augmented video chat service launched in the midst of the global pandemic to allow Pros to conduct virtual home visits with customers.
